Living Room
ANOTHER WINNER

The Living Room contains an extraordinary treasure:  The “Old Conemaugh” pumper,  purchased in 1836 for $225.  There is a picture of the Young Men’s Volunteer Fire Co. Drum and Bugle Corps taken at a competition in East Pittsburgh in 1929….they won the competition!!

Here you can also find an acolyte candelabra from the old Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, a painting of a canal boat, a steel rail from the Indiana County Street Railway , a full room height mirror from the Lintner estate, a clock from the old Third Ward School, along with displays that are changed monthly.

Photos in this room include:  James Donahey who was born on a farm settled in 1773 by his father which is now known as Marshall Heights, the old public library and many pictures of the Snyder/Lintner families.

A small glass case holds several B.J.H.S. class rings, a DAR pin, coins and Brotherhood of RR Trainmen, Lodge 742 button.
