Jeremy and I found a stray dog near our house he had no tags or microchip. I am not sure what kind of dog it is but it looks like a sheperd/collie mix (Pic is attached). I called the police, the local shelters, the dog catcher and drove up and down all of our surrounding streets with no luck.
I ended up taking it to the four footed friends shelter in Indiana because it is the only shelter that is no kill I really wanted to make sure it was seen by a vet because it had a lot of trouble walking otherwise it would have just stayed with us. I wasn't sure if it was hurt or if it had some form of arthritis (it is definitely an older dog), but I just didn't want to take any chances.
Anyway I feel so bad for this dog to have either been lost or abandoned. So please circulate this email to as many local people as you can. I am going to post some flyers locally but please let me know if you would happen to hear anything.
The number for four footed friends is 724-349-1144 and the website is www.fourfootedfriends.org
